I was born in 1956 in Bonn and grew up with seven siblings in Brussels, Washington and Geneva. I studied Political Science in the USA, Journalism at the Institute for Journalism in Mainz as well as documentary and television journalism in Munich.
I am a mother of two adult children and have been working as an editor and freelance journalist in Munich and Berlin over the last thirty years, I write columns and children’s books (under the name of Beatrix Schnippenkoetter).
When my husband died unexpectedly in 2011 I embarked on a new journey and started advanced training at the Berliner Institut der Akademie für Logotherapie und Existenzanalyse in Berlin.
2011-2013 Existential-Narrative Work On Dreams (ENTA)
2014-2017 Existential-Analytic Counseling (Logotherapy)
Since then I work as an existential analytic counselor and logotherapist in practice (under supervision).
